On Monday and Tuesday, there was a two day paro or general strike in our half of the Sacred Valley. Stopping all traffic and closing all businesses are an effective way to protest against something that feels wrong. This time, it was about a neighboring province taking some land that belonged to our province. This photo was taken in the small village of Huaran where huge tree roots were placed into the road to stop traffic.
